$55.00

Want joyful kids? Creativity will certainly do it!

We have double the fun lined up with 2 engaging projects originating from 2 different nations: China and Japan.

The 1st project involves children painting beautiful Chinese paper umbrellas. They will not only learn how to incorporate traditional Chinese designs but also blend these designs with their own creative concepts, which brings immense delight to everyone involved.

Each student is provided with their very own art station, fully equipped with all the necessary supplies they need to freely express themselves and create their masterpieces.

The 2nd project focuses on learning the intricate art of origami. It’s a deeply rewarding experience to learn and master this cherished aspect of Japanese culture. Kids will cleverly discover how to design and fold various boxes, tapping into their creativity in the process.

Creating alongside other children offers unique opportunities for building valuable relationships, enabling them to make new friends while also strengthening their existing connections.

This Friday, we will be painting on a paper and wooden Japanese medium-sized umbrella. The artistic style we will explore offers exciting new adventures in painting that are both fun and wonderfully unique, and that they haven’t tried before.

While their beautiful Japanese paintings are drying, the delicious pizza and tasty treats will be ready for everyone to enjoy!

Our next project for the evening is creating origami hexagon candy boxes. Origami is a fascinating art form, and the kids will learn to harness their ingenuity as they try their hands at something they haven't attempted before. Sometimes, all they need is a little encouragement and support.

Our small classes provide more personalized one-on-one experiences, ensuring that each child feels cared for and valued. An evening without screen time is hugely beneficial in promoting a balance to activities that are hands-on and creatively engaging.

Our studio is purposefully designed to stimulate their creativity, with easy access to a wide range of art materials and a beautifully curated creative space in which to work.

In the end, we aspire to see them take pride in their artistic creations and find joy in the journey of creating something beautiful.

You will receive an email with permission slips to sign, safety plans and a list of what to bring. Please sign and send screen shots via email <info@somethingbeautiful.or>

Johnson County requires these permission slips to be signed for your child to be at the studio.

No Cancellation Refunds (Unless we are snowed in. If there is a waiting list for the workshop and if the vacant spot can be filled, we will issue an 80% refund. Please email for details if this issue arises).
